everything and nothing - Verse space

fire and freeze
calm and chaos
still and turbid
all in one
one in all
together it blends into
a solution of emotions
an amalgam of nature
a being of immense dichotomy
a human.

The fire within me belies the freeze without.
The chaos within me contradicts the calm without.
The turbidity and murkiness inside me is deeper than the stillness outside.

I am real and unreal at the same time.
all and none
up and down
inside out
Every thing and nothing.

Sequel-Navrathri 2010

        Here is my sequel. 3 steps as usual, with a small display on the side. The story U selected was so spontaneously done that I was quite impressed with her. It is the story of Narada, and his little pride! Narada asks Lord Vishnu to point out the most truthful devotee, expecting the Lord to acknowledge him as one. But Lord Vishnu points out a hard working and poor farmer, who takes the lord's name every morning and night. Narada is offended, as he believes he utters the Lord's name every second! Lord Vishnu then asks Narada to carry a cup of oil around the world without spilling a drop. Narada does so and is proud to return with not a drop spilt. Yet, when the Lord asks him, how many times he took His name, Narada was then able to see the truth behind His words! "Hanuman's Ramayan", reviewed by my resident Storyteller!

'Finally, what matters is the story, not the teller." A storyteller feels the pang!! How can Devdutt Pattanaik finish the story with such a disputable statement is what I thought? Is he justified in saying this? I am biased when I say this, but every story is in the tellers skill as he weaves his magic around the warp and the weft of his story. Truly magic has been created in this book by Devadutt Pattanaik which has been illustrated by Nancy Raj. How it came home? Tulika Books happily sent  free books to all those who had participated in their very first blogathon. It arrived when we were just leaving Kanpur for our annual vacation to Chennai.
